Waterfall: Visitation or Inhabitation?

Hello Readers!

I want to share something with you that was discussed at the Church of Gainesville the other night. This is a church plant at AIM. I attended for the first time this past Wednesday evening and it was awesome! It wasn't really like any other service I had been to before. There was a time of worship through music. Then, the two leaders (Clint Bokelman and Deon Vanstaden) said a few things and then let the Holy Spirit take the lead.

Michelle Gunnin shared an image she received, which was: people standing with their hands cupped together near a waterfall and filling it up to drink, but could feel the Lord calling them into the waterfall to be completely enveloped. The interpretation that I/we got out of it is that the waterfall represents the Holy Spirit. The Lord desires us to allow the Holy Spirit to inhabit all of us, not just visit us and give us tiny dips. Pause a moment to ponder that.

Next, we had a time of prayer where some of us went to the middle while others gathered around to pray over us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. The presence was thick in the room.

Next, we had several moments of silence where we prayed and asked God to give us questions of what we should pray and ask God for. Then we had a time of sharing what we received. Some of the questions were the Lord asking:
- Do you want my best?
- Do you trust me?
- Can I trust you?
- What do you need to do in order to refocus on what I am calling you to do?
- You can hear my voice, but can you hear my heartbeat?
- What does it mean to be known by my love?

The leader of AIM, Seth Barners, got the question: "Where in the world is there an expression of the kind of love talked about in John 17:?" He gave us the challenge to pray into that. Lord willing, we will be discussing our revelations next week at the meeting.
I'm looking forward to seeing where He takes us and doing life together with these passionate people. It sure does make me miss my church family back up in MI though.

Update: I just sent out my second newsletter today! It's not too late to sign-up if you'd like to receive one. I plan to send one out at the end of every month as a way to keep my supporters updated and is a little more personal. If you'd like to receive them, please send me a message or leave a comment below with an e-mail address I may send it to.

And, I will be coming back to MI for a first the second half of May.... so, check your calendars and let's choose a time to hang out/catch up. ;-)

Peace and Blessings,
Keep Lookin' Up,
Misha
