Hello Readers,
Have you ever been forced to spend 4 days enclosed in a house with 30 complete strangers and asked to be super vulnerable? I’m guessing maybe most of you reading this haven’t, and that’s alright. However, I just wanted to share a few things that I experienced:
– The chance to get to know some awesome people whom I may or may not have gotten to know had I not been forced to, and now I am grateful to call them family.
– The encouragement from strangers. The freedom in talking about issues and struggles and then spending time in the moment covering them in prayer.
– The awkwardness of doing hard/embarrassing things for the sake of getting to know each other. And also being forced to spend quality time together doing things you might not like to do.
– Zero communication with anyone not living in that Ark with me. I thought it was going to be a lot harder than it was, but honestly, I didn’t miss it. I’d encourage you to try to go a day (or longer) and do a Media Fast of some type.
Of course I learned so many other things, but that was just a glimpse into the week. If you want to know more about my 4 day retreat at the Ark, then feel free to ask me about it.
Thanks for much for reading and I pray that you are encouraged to go out and do the hard things for the sake of growth. Comfort is often something that hinders your growth. So I am challenging you to step out of your comfort zone!
Keep Lookin’ Up,
Misha
